| 2010 December 2010 The kids and I have some fun at home at our club's 3rd annual "Aussie Dazzle" and they shine! In three shows under ASCA breeder judges, Kylie takes A-BOB over 3 specials and takes Best of Veteran over multiple entries. Tripper takes a huge Best of Breed win in a field of 8 specials. Also, new ASCA standings are published. Kylie moves up to #3 altered and Tripper keeps his Top 10 status. What a great way to end the year! November 2010 We travel to a Rock River Valley ASC show in Wisconsin. In the first show, Kylie takes a A-BOS and Tripper takes BOS. The next day Kylie takes A-BOB and Tripper takes BOB at the same show. I would have never imagined a couple years ago that both my dogs would consistently be taking Best of Breed at the same shows!!! October 2010 We headed down to Waco, TX for the ASCA Nationals. Kylie kicked butt!! She was entered in veterans classes and altered Best of Breed at three pre-shows and Nationals as well as in Altered Conformation Finals. She got a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place in Veterans, premiered in altered BOB at every show and placed 6th in the Finals! And last week, ASCA published the latest conformation standings: Kylie is #4 altered and Tripper is #10 intact dog in the country. Way to go kids! September Attended just two weekend shows in August and two in September. Kylie's now up over 100 points and Tripper's at almost 250 points, 2/3 of his total points from last year! Now we're in preparation mode for ASCA Nationals in October! Oh, and I forgot to mention earlier, Kylie attended just two days of UKC shows (one in April, one in July) to attain her UKC A-Ch, with 4 A-BIS wins! Way to go Kylie! July Dog showing was sidelined for spell due to major surgery for me at the beginning of June. We head to Michigan to watch the roommate judge at the ASC of MI 4th of July shows and I attempt to show my kids just 3.5 weeks after surgery ... maybe not the best idea, but Tripper takes BOB under ASCA breeder judge Glenda Stephenson, and Kylie takes 4 A-BOBs and a A-BOS win. ASCA Breeder judge Stephanie Shope McDaniel tells me Kylie is "lovely ... just lovely" and judge Karen Johnson remarks she's "such a beautiful bitch". Awwww - thank you!! July ended with a bang ... Kylie and Tripper did really well at the UMASC show July 24 and 25 -- Kylie took 4 A-BOBs and Tripper had 2 BOS wins over 4 dog specials and a BOB win over 8 total specials!! May What a way to finish the ASCA conformation merit year. Our travels take us to Wisconsin where Kylie and Tripper both pick up BOB wins, then on to Michigan for a 7 show weekend. Tripper takes a BOB and 3 BOS wins over multiple specials under ASCA breeder judges and Kylie takes a phenomenal 6 of 7 A-BOB wins! Kylie finishes the year as the #1 altered bitch and #2 overall. Tripper breaks the ASCA Top 20 and places at #16! Way to go kids! March What a phenomenal month! Traveled to Indiana, Wisconsin and Missouri for ASCA shows. Kylie took 9 A-BOB wins and 1 A-BOS win in the 10 shows we attended and Tripper took a BOB and 4 BOS wins and I met some great club members along the way. February Another road trip - this time to St Louis for the Gateway ASCA show. Great members, great shows, but the St Louis area got some snow which kept people away and the Super Bowl was on Sunday which kept more people away. No worries! Kylie picked up 2 A-BOBs and a A-BOS and some much needed merit points. Tripper picked up 2 BOS wins and a breed win and lots of compliments! January Kylie, Tripper and I headed to Texas for some fun, sun and a great time at the New Hope ASC show in College Station, TX. Kylie picked up 2 A-BOB and 1 A-BOS win for 44 points! Tripper was having some serious concentration issues with a couple girlies in heat at the show site! Kylie also filmed another online commercial for ActiveIon this month. |
